The week begins on Monday with the Everybody Loves Monday listening session, followed at 20:02 by Kino na Savi, featuring three Croatian short films. The programme includes Josip Šimić’s Buba, Jasna Safić’s Late Winter and Luka Eterović’s award-winning thriller Špurijus. Visitors can enjoy the films outdoors by the river, with free admission.
Tuesday switches to funk with Funky Tuesday, followed by the General Knowledge Quiz by Laramic at 19:19.
On Wednesday, the festival takes a creative turn with the Beer’N’Paint Summer Picnic session at 18:51, led by Ivana Jerković. Participants can paint, enjoy a drink and spend the evening in a relaxed riverside setting.
Thursday features Zagreb singer-songwriter Mela Skar, the stage name of Mihaela Hudiček. Her music blends acoustic folk, funky pop, piano and storytelling, with her live performance beginning at 19:19.
Friday brings rock’n’roll energy as Zagreb band Donkey Hot performs at 20:20. Fronted by Vili Gobac, the band is known for energetic shows and humorous, ironic songs inspired by everyday life.
Saturday offers one of the festival’s biggest highlights with Antina Ribička Večer, bringing traditional Slavonian cuisine to Zagreb. Visitors can watch carp being slowly roasted over an open fire, while traditional fiš stew and tamburitza music create an authentic Slavonian atmosphere. The programme begins at 16:16.
The evening continues at 18:18 with the Art Bazaar, where local artists, creatives and independent exhibitors showcase their work along the riverbank. The bazaar returns on Sunday at the same time.
Sunday’s programme also includes Sunday Surprise, a mystery music listening session, followed by a UNO tournament at 18:48.
Throughout the festival, Fjaka na Savi takes place every day at 17:17, inviting visitors to slow down and enjoy the relaxed summer atmosphere. A sports zone will also remain open throughout the day.
Green River Festival runs from September 14 to 20 along the Sava embankment near Hendrix Bridge in Zagreb. Admission to all programmes is free.
