Overcome with emotion after reeling in Cornet, who had ended the 37-match winning streak of world No.1 Iga Swiatek on Saturday, Tomljanovic said her own belief was tested early on in their encounter.
"She would walk the dog for hours and just check the score"@Ajlatom's mum couldn't watch her matches last year, but she's here in person now ❤️#Wimbledon pic.twitter.com/Ppw6NBM4Up

“I didn’t think I could do it,” she said.
“From the get-go her level was really high. She never goes away. It is tough to play against players like that.”
“I have such great memories of last year … but I look back and I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could have. I can’t believe one year later I’m in the same position,” Tomljanovic said.
After last year playing Ash, I think I can face anyone (now). Hopefully it’s going to be a bit more of a contest,” she said.
