The race for Champions League football next season is very much alive and kicking after Tottenham Hotspur eased to a commanding 3-0 victory in the North London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening.
Harry Kane scored twice as Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur moved to within one point of fourth-placed Arsenal to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive with a 3-0 derby win over the 10-man Gunners.

Harry Kane put Tottenham Hotspur ahead on 22 minutes from the penalty spot after Cedric Soares had fouled Son Heung-min.

Arsenal’s Rob Holding was dismissed after 33 minutes for a second bookable offence following two fouls on Son, with Kane’s close-range header putting Spurs 2-0 up four minutes later.
Son added a third on 47 minutes to take him just one goal behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
It took fine saves by Aaron Ramsdale to deny Emerson Royal and then Kane a first North London derby hat-trick as Spurs earned their biggest Premier League victory over Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur remain in fifth spot on 65 points while Arsenal stay four points behind third-placed Chelsea with two matches remaining.
